In freshmen year (last year), I got all A’s and one B. I go to a pretty competitive school and I am pretty worried that B is going to screw me over. I got it in Honors Biology so it wasn’t a rigorous class or anything. It was a mixture of laziness and a horrible teacher, who actually got fired, but that doesn’t make much of a difference. Either way I got a B on my transcript the rest are A’s, including in my aphug class. I have no idea what will happen this year, I am trying to not have a repeat of last year. I take ap stat and ap gov and politics now. I wish to go to an ivy league…i know big dreams! How badly will it affect me?
1 B in your freshman year doesn’t do much if you get mostly A’s or all A’s for the next few years. Relax a bit.
It shouldn’t be too bad, most colleges don’t even include freshman year. If you are worried about rank and Ivy League, get good test scores and have some solid extracurricular such as volunteering. More often, the ivys will take you if you have done some solid volunteering or internships. And if rank is an issue, ace ur sats and subject tests and it’ll be fine.
Your grades sound awesome, don’t worry about it. Ivy leagues are more understanding than you would think. Just don’t be lazy because high school is only going to get more challenging from here on out! Honestly, don’t stress about school but at the same time, work hard.
