thoughts?

I'm not a fan.

i like it. it's much more organized than the current one--it's not aesthetically pleasing, i admit, but it makes it really easy to get to what you want.

it's so...brown.

oh.

nevermind, point taken.

very utilitarian

The fixed size is too small and the Brown is too dark. Some things, like the academic departments shouldn't need to be scrolled.

Note, there is a form for feedback here:

Ugly -- the mix of fonts looks unprofessional and it all just looks like a clutter of words. Boo.

The concept is interesting, and it'd be killer if it were maybe fluid and better located on the page... or even just with variable universal access user-side stylesheet font controls (make large, smaller, etc). Interesting, at least... seems to make things more accessible, even if at the expense of the aesthetic.

i liked having the rando articles on the home page

I like it actually. Maybe it's just my monitor but the links are all in front of you instead of to the side so they're easier to find.

The dark brown background looks more like black. Is it my screen or am I colorblind?

I don't like how everything needs to be scrolled--maybe I'm old school, but I like fixed screens and simple hyperlinks to the various sections.

And that black background is way....scary. That's not quite the right word. Imposing...yeah, that fits.

Suggestions: make the background a lighter color. Make more things fixed on the screen--or at least use hyperlinks instead of the scroll-out text.

Way too dark. Cluttered...not super user friendly. Looks a bit unprofessional. Meh....

yeah, also too much moving stuff, if my mouse goes anywhere, stuff starts flying

^Haha, I totally agree with you. If you move your mouse a cm too much something pops up.

Would every other subpages get intergrated likewise? If the links outbound aren't in the same design framework it would be very jarring and a sort of obnoxious landing page since there'd be no system-wide navigational system or metric...

I agree. Things just jump around too much

I like the brown. If I'm right, it's the exact shade of one of our exact school colors--seal brown.
