Preview/Orientation Dates

Here is a link to the Preview/Orientation dates that every incoming Freshman must attend. They will send you something in the mail about it so you don't need to worry about it now, but maybe you want to look at the dates now so you can get an idea about which dates you prefer. The first dates always fill up first because everyone thinks that the people that attend the first preview dates and sign up for their classes take up all the spots in the classes. This is not true, according to UF. They hold spots in all freshman classes for incoming students in each preview session. My S went to a rather late one last year, 2010, and had no problem getting into all his Freshman Engineering classes at the times that he wanted (none of his classes started before 10:40 am !--he is a late riser). So, you don't need to sign up for this quite yet, I don't think, but here is a link to be abreast of what you need to do upcoming after housing concerns.

Also, remember to do the Preview Prep http://www.advising.ufl.edu/prep/</a> before going to Preview.
