Preview Question

Does anyone know if it's absolutely mandatory that you stay in the dorm at Preview?

It was 2 years ago, so I'd imagine it still is.

yes, its absolutely mandatory. why wouldn't you want to anyways?

The Preview staffers say that it's mandatory to stay in Broward for Preview, but no one is going to notice if you stay at a hotel with your parents or whatever and show up bright and early in the morning. I know many people that did just that. I wish I would have been brave and not stayed in the dorm, it was pretty disgusting. Especially the bathrooms, as the floor I was on is actually a men's floor during regular school sessions. Ugh.

My sister stayed at the hotel with my parents a few years ago and it was no big deal. She did not want to stay at the dorm at all. I'm more agreeable to it, my parents were just wondering if they were more strict about it now than they were a few years ago. I've heard that it's hard to get any sleep. Might be fun, though.

does anyone know how it is decided who you will room with for preview?
like, if i am going the same night as my friend, will we be allowed to room together or will it already be decided?

It's already decided, but i'm sure you could switch keys without the staffers knowing. You should stay in the room with the stranger. I really don't know why people don't want to stay. It's only one night and everything is clean.

They gave me a single for preview. I was a little disappointed, but I did manage to get some good sleep in at least.

After you are done doing the preview stuff, which I think was like at 9pm or so you go back the dorm and the staffers work on your schdule with you if you haven't finished it. Once you get your schedule signed off on you can pretty much go anywhere you want, just be back on time at wherever you staff member told you to meet in the morning.

Okay, first off, rooms are randomly assigned. If you want to room with your friend then just line up with them.

Secondly, you are up late doing schedule stuff so I dont know why you would want to haul yourself to another place at like 12 at night.

And I didnt try to leave during the night but I tried to meet up with my friend while she was going through preview and they wouldnt let her out of the building.
