Didn’t see any thread on this. Has anyone been accepted yet?
Are you referring to the Multicultural fly-in event? If so, my son was accepted and will be going.
I’ll be going!
‘Grats for getting in! Can I ask how you guys were informed of your acceptances? Was it through email? the Green Wave Portal?
Email to my son, and then they called and left a message on our home voicemail telling us to accept or decline right away. There are forms to fill out on the Green Wave portal for parent permission and things like that.
They sent me an email about it a day or two after. My school has a very close relationship with Tulane, so maybe that’s why I got such a quick response.
I got in too! My acceptance was through the Green Wave Portal, but I also recieved an email Aug.29, but I applied mid August.
The kids just returned from PreviewTU. What did everyone think? My son was so busy he only answered my texts once a day (and usually after 1:00 AM). He made a lot of new friends and when I picked him up at the airport, he was clustered around a group of kids hugging each other goodbye. He was very, very excited coming back from Tulane. I’m trying to settle him down because he has school tomorrow and he’s not able to focus. I will say that Tulane spent a lot of time, money, and effort on this program and is very serious about getting a more diverse set of kids into the school.
My son said there were 160 people in the program this year and over 4000 applicants. They seemed to form a very strong bond in three short days.
Hi AH310- My daughter attended PreviewTU, as well, and came home absolutely committed to applying (EA last week). She had very little sleep and loved the extended weekend- she’s done 3 other fly-ins and says Tulane’s is by far the best because you really get a chance to spend time with current students over the 2-3 days. Heavy programming, but she said it was very helpful. Best of luck to your son!
