Previous college reporting.

Uncertain if this is the right forum for this, but here goes:

About ten years ago, I took two IT-centric classes from a community college to obtain certification related to my occupation at the time. The courses were paid for out of pocket. At the time I was not actively pursuing college credits, and as such I made the rather poor choice of not completing the courses after completing the certifications.

I'm now attending a different community college in another part of the state in which I live. I'm planning to transfer to the state university at the end of this year, and while going over the transfer application, a thought occurred to me when I ran across the previous college information section of the app. At that moment I realized I very probably forgot to mention the first community college experience when I enrolled at the CC I'm currently attending.

I absolutely intend to disclose all of my previous college experience on the university application. However, the problem I have at the moment is, I don't know if I reported it correctly to the CC I currently attend. The occupation I was in and the classes I took at the time were not something I've had any sort of connection to for a number of years, so I may very well have forgotten it.

If I did indeed fail to list it, is it something I can fix? How would I do so?

Go to your CC and ask them if they want you to have a transcript sent from your previous college. You made an honest mistake, just ask them what you need to do to correct it. Do be sure to include the transcript when you transfer, as colleges check for previous college attendance here:

Is it possible for a student to access this site? I’m just interested in what kind of information is there. Sounds interesting.
