For those of you driving to 'Bama (and even for those of you who are not) I am interested in what you are paying for regular unleaded at the pump.

This is the FIRST TIME in my adult life I have ever even had to consider just how much it is going to cost to make a long trip (600 miles Houston to Tuscaloosa). Horrors!

My car takes premium and I’m paying $4.69-$4.89/gallon here in “paradise.” We considered making the 4,700 mile drive, but decided it would be too wet. :)

i paid 369 the other day. we are leaving today to go pick up kid. it will cost roughly 253 in gas for the round trip. we will have 3 people on the way and 4 on the way back, so really not that expensive in the scheme of things.

yeah, the price of gas sucks, but when you are taking a few people it is WAAAY cheaper than flying. it would cost more than 253 to fly just one person.

Malanai, don’t be silly. Just roll down the windows and the water will pass right through.

I just paid $3.59 in metro Atlanta and when I checked my mobile app it shows a range of $3.81 to $4.05 in Tuscaloosa. I don’t understand that. It is generally cheaper in Tuscaloosa than here, so I’m not sure what is going on.

I know what you have to do Malanai. You have to buy a lot of those spray cans that they advertise on TV. …you know, the ones where the guy sprays a screen door and puts in on the bottom of a boat to show how well the spray works.

well, get some cans and spray the bottom of your car…and get some oars and you’re good to go.

:)

You are all too funny!

Regular unleaded is $3.69 in Florida. Check your tire pressure, I hear it helps with the gas mileage.

lol, I knew we were screwed as soon as he uttered those words.

Robotbldmom, who is in T-town now, just texted me and said gas is $3.69 .

Of course, we are doing our visit May 28th, which I was just informed is a holiday weekend, and prices generally increase for those, as they usually do over the summer in general.

A quick look at [Alabama Gas Prices - Find Cheap Gas Prices in Alabama](http://www.alabamagasprices.com/) shows gas as being in the $3.599-$3.699 per gallon range, which is much cheaper than the $3.999 per gallon I’ll be paying in my hometown in WA.

Where do I get my money back for my free gas price app??? I knew something sounded off about that. Gas is generally cheaper in Tuscaloosa than around metro Atlanta.

$3.89 reg/ $4.19 premium…ugh

I feel that Indiana has high gas prices for being in the midwest. It’s consistently higher than Illinois (not Chicago) and Missouri (including StL).

Been in Tuscaloosa the last two weekends and was pleasantly surprised at the gas prices. Mississippi was a little bit higher, and home state of Louisiana was the highest for my tristate trip. I fill my car with premium, and pay over four bucks a gallon in Louisiana, and Tuscaloosa was at least a quarter a gallon less.

Regular unleaded is around $4.25 in my Chicago suburb. It’s been going down - it was over $4.50 a month ago.
