May I first suggest that no one use priceline.com

I was trying to book a specific hotel in Montreal for a trip for some friends and I. There is a screen in the booking process which asks for a "Name Your Own Price". Me, thinking this was mandatory, entered $130 (which was about what other websites were saying, I expected my hotel to pop up). Turns out that it booked me at a random hotel, for that price. So now not only am I staying in a different hotel (they do not refund purchases), but it is $300 total, about $30 more expensive than competing websites offered for the hotel I actually wanted.

Tomorrow I'm going to try cancelling through the credit card company, and I've already written a letter to Priceline (I couldn't even speak to a representative! It's a machine!). Lucky for me, the hotel is still in the general area I want to be in, thank god, because that's $300 I'm gonna need!
