Prime Quad in Mudge?

So I just found out I'm in a prime quad in Mudge. Pretty sweet considering I paid my deposit like april 13th.

So I just wanted to know if anyone knows how they are? I.e. size, quality, location, etc.

Also, does Mudge have a sweet lounge with pool tables and stuff like the other places?

Hiya. I lived in a Mudge quad my freshman year. :)

They are gorgeous and huge. Seriously. You get a full walk-in closet, a nice roomy bathroom with a window, and if you’re lucky you’ve gotten one of the round quads instead of the square quads, which is EXTRA huge.

My recommendation is for you to bunk your beds, as it pretty much gives you a small living room’s worth of space if you do.

The only issues I can think of involve privacy; obviously it’s going to be almost impossible for you to bring a girl home or talk with a friend about something you don’t want others overhearing. It’s also probably not the most ideal situation to do homework if you’re very noise sensitive (though of course, that depends on your roommates - mine were super conscious about being loud, and we rarely blasted music or had a bunch of people over).

Living on A2 is sort of like having a super big happy family. You’re twice the size of a normal floor in Mudge (in terms of people) and for the most part everyone gets along and has fun. The RA usually gives up about two months in because there’s just no way to police that floor (the quad next to mine was straight up smoking weed in their room pretty much every day) so it’s a pretty fun, relaxed atmosphere.

As far as location - there’s a lounge in B Base (two floors down) with a pool table, a TV and some vending machines. You’re right upstairs from the piano room and grand hall, which are both cool places to hang out. Your room is cool in the summer and warm in the winter, and you have huge bay windows against each wall, so it’s always sunny. This is the only floor in Mudge that is part of the original Mudge mansion (that freshmen can live on… I lived in A100 last year, which was the original servants’ quarters) and it definitely shows. It’s really nice. :)

Congrats and have fun!

Hey, how did you find out so early? I also listed a Mudge Quad for my main preference.

Go to sio, look under account activities right under invoices and you’ll see it!

And thanks kate!! I really am looking forward to it! Im thinking we should get like a couch and stuff

Thanks! I didn’t get Mudge, but at least I got my second choice.

Congrats! I got Mudge too, but a prime double. Not to hijack your thread, but I have a question on the prime restrooms. Is everything provided? Like shower curtains and stuff? Or are we supposed to bring them ourselves?

Shower curtains are provided, and toilet paper. Nothing else though. No towels, no rugs, etc.

I’m at my student SIO, but where do I find the student activity section where the housing information is?

Nm, I found the account activity link, but I just can’t find my housing information on it.

You have to click on your finances in SIO to find out what type of room and building you got. Roommate information and specific room number isn’t out yet.

I got prime quad in Mudge too! & tons of people on the CMU 2015 Facebook groups said they’d found out about housing through the charges on their SIO Finance page two weeks ago…I don’t think mine was listed until the last few days.

Only…what? Forty-eight more days to go?

A 309!! pretty pumped to be living in the penthouse
