Still, since I’m taking statistics, I doubt the method of this experiment. Shouldn’t you be taking an SRS of all Ivy League applicants and then pm the people who you want in the data?

As a current junior looking to apply next year, this is a great thing. Thanks to everyone who pledged to post their results.

Yeah, FloatingSaturn, that would certainly be ideal, but pretty dang impractical and time-consuming. This is easier
At least it defeats a little bit of the voluntary response syndrome that comes with not having a pledge system at all!

Lol. I understand. I think I just wanted to make my statistics teacher proud.

My stats stink compared to yours, and I realize I have virtually no chance, so please don’t hack me to bits, y’all.

Although my stats are clearly not what Princeton normally sees, I absolutely love the school and did from the moment I saw campus (while still in the car.) Yeah, it would have made as much sense to burn the application fees in the fireplace, but I just had to apply. The worst thing they can say is no. And I’ve heard a lot worse than that!!!

I’m most likely getting rejected. My Physics SATII hurts and my extracurriculars just aren’t good enough for HYPS. Oh well I’m not going to be bummed I’m expecting a rejection =]

I pledge to report my decision, whether it is good or not.
High SATs, decent GPA, decent extracurriculars.
I hope Princeton likes the fact that I’m a right-winger.

Yay for right wing politics. I think the environment over the next four years is going to get a lot less politicized on college campuses, because really it was probably mostly the left wing that protests and are vocal. But now that BO is president are they really going to protest his policies?

I will report my decision too.
High stats, weak-ish ECs
good essays
