Princeton 2015 Hopefuls

Doing my Princeton app right now, though I’m just reusing my Yale essay for the main supplement. Just have to fill in those short takes and write a few paragraphs about my summer.

One question about sending SAT/ACT scores.Haven’t sent out any scores yet as I’m waiting on my Dec scores.Do they need to RECEIVE the EARLIER scores before Jan 1?Or is it okay to wait for the Dec scores to come out and then send all scores once and for all(even though these might not reach them by Jan 1)?I know they are okay with getting the December scores later, but are they expecting the earlier ones to be received by Jan 1st deadline?Anyone know about this?
I guess this question isn’t relevant only to Princeton, must be same for most other schools too.I don’t know why this did not strike me earlier, should I get into panic mode???

^^^^adamakamovieman my heart dropped when i read your post lol you scared me so bad

^collegetips, although I don’t know Princeton’s policy, I can’t image it will matter too much since they accept january scores.

^
pianoman, that was my thinking too, that since Princeton(and many other colleges) are accepting Jan scores, sending all the scores at one go,would just make sense. But then reading some post somewhere here on CC freaked me out.
And yes, adamakamovieman’s post really scared me too.We are all so jittery now,I seem to jump at every little thing these days, lol!

Does anyone know whether Princeton ever gives non-athletic likely letters to applicants?

To the couple of people I have seen on the Yale SCEA boards, to what extent are you just re-using your Yale essays etc? Just curious… Think I will be like Jersey and just make slight changes to fit the questions, but keeping the general structure.

^^ They do, or least have in the past.

silverturtle, I believe they only give LLs to athletes and Questbridge applicants. Not 100% on this though.

monstor344, why does your location already say Princeton '15? :stuck_out_tongue: Gotten in already, have we?

maybe he got in through Questbridge

I’m just going to choose that quotation option on for the supplement essay and find a quote that fits the theme of my Yale supplement essay. Too lazy to write another essay.

He’s a recruited athlete.

To a large extent… ;)

My essays were exactly the same.

i did a LOT of recycling

Just submitted my application.

I merely put the quote at the top for option 4. Didn’t change a word of my essay.

I used the exact same one.

My son used same essay for H,Y and P (except with a quote for P).

^That’s what I did. I just found a quote that fit my H/Y essay perfectly.

Also, just had my interview this morning. The dude is president of a company and has his mba from harvard, so I dress up nice, in business attire… but it ended up being super casual. The guy was just wearing everyday clothes and didn’t ask me a single difficult question. We just chatted. That wasn’t expected, but I’m nooot complaining.

I wish my H/Y essay were about a specific event or experience. In the process of writing P’s right now.
