Also another hopeful here (though to be frank, I like the Harvard and Yale vibe better.)

Fledgling, I’m also applying to UofT, UBC, and probably McGill, in which I’m a legacy! OMG, fingers crossed, please please Thy Higher Being, let me get accepted…

U of T? Awesome choice; Toronto’s a great school (ranked among the top schools in Canada and in a very appealing location). Then again, I could just be biased because it’s my safety school, and I’m also a Canadian citizen :)

Another Princeton Hopefull here!

Good Luck to everyone! I hope to speak each other as admitted students next year!

No one from my school applied for Harvard, Yale, Princeton etc. (generally for U.S Universities) and I believe that may be a disadvantage for me…But will see!:)

Also, I am applying to Australian National University and probably to University of Sydney… (because I am an Australian citizen)

Good luck to all of us!:D

Yeah, UofT is located in Toronto (obviously <p), which is a nice, bustling, not too big cosmopolitan! I shall be thrilled if accepted!
@Maria_astr: Hello there! Which city are you from? Sydney? :D

@MonochromeAddict

Hi! No, I’m not from Sydney but Melbourne:D

Ι have the Australian citizenship from my mother but I live in Greece, actually…:)

But I choose these two universities because they are the best in Australia… :)

Oh my God! I love Melbourne!! The federation square, harbourtown! Melbourne Central! Swanston St.! One of the best cities I’ve ever visited. <3

Add me to the list of Princeton of Hopeful’s as well!!!

Good luck to everyone!

I going to apply to Princeton too!

Me! Good luck to everybody on CC and all the rest And most defintely Jersey13, that is the best thing to do. If I don’t get into my first choice (I’ll be devestated for sure), I hope that I at least have a good number of options after that. I’m thinking that I’ll apply to like 12-14 schools. What about you guys?

12-15 schools :)

Good luck Maybe future classmates!

About 10-11 schools…

But I am worry about something. The major that I want to study is Mechanical Engineering. But I am worry due to the fact that I didn’t have enough activities in this field as extracurriculars. I have done enough in Astronomy and Astrophysics realm (National and International Olympiad, awards, projects etc). The only things that i have done and which are related with the field that I want to study are the articles that I writing and specifically in Aerospace Engineering(which is one of the reasons that I am going to apply in US universities) to national magazine…

Would be negative for me??Some people told me that I should apply in Physics Department and I dont want it.My dream job is, to be a rocket scientist…

And I dont want my question seems a picture of inconfidence or a try to show my extracurriculars. Not at all…I am just worried…

I know I wrote it to other threads of universities as well and sorry about that:(

Communiversity was pretty fun this year.

Good luck again!:D

I’ll apply to 9-11 schools (9 from the U.S.A and 1-2 Australia) :)

@helen: Don’t worry, still apply! Anyway, what’s wrong with applying as a Physics major and then switching once you get in Also, it doesn’t seem that there are tons of extracurriculars geared towards mechanical engineering anyway. The magazine writing is awesome, good luck :)

if you want to show your engineering passion, build a bike or model airplane or something over the summer and document your progress.

Hoping for Princeton here. I have a TON of Extracurriculars, a 2310 SAT (retaking it for hte Superscore), and if Princeton doesn’t count Freshman year like I’ve heard, a 4.0+ GPA. I could use a bit more charitable service and I intend to work on it this Summer. Here’s hoping.

Thank you guys!!:DYour advice is very helpful…

@BuddyMcAwesome I am planning to make a model of Hubble…I hope that will help…

@big dreamer yes I could do that…I dont have problem with Physics is one of my favourite subjects and to change major would be a big dilemma for me:/ But no i love Mechanical Engineering and especially Aerospace…:DThank u though!!

I wish you to all good luck and thank you again:D

You’re welcome helen, but just to let you know, lots of people do change majors once admitted. Good luck :)
