Princeton Admission Chances?

Hello,

As my sophomore year comes to an end, I was wondering if you think Princeton is a possibility for me?

Before I attach my resume, here are a couple things about me:

My mother attended Princeton, and my sister is currently a freshman at Princeton, so I am a double legacy.
I am Jewish, if that helps admission.
I am very involved in politics, photography, singing, acting, and I am academically engaged. Besides the basic requirements of high school, like getting good grades and finding electives you like, I reach out and am involved with many parts of school, like becoming President of clubs and honor societies, doing internships and volunteer work over the summer, and socializing and helping teachers (I am close friends and write scripts with my Drama teacher). Because of this, I have received several awards from teachers and various associations.

Freshman year I took:

Hon Biology
Hon Algebra 2
Hon World History 1
Hon English
Hon Spanish 3
Hon Health/PE
Drama 1
Photography 1

This year I took:

AP European History
Hon Chemistry
Hon English
Hon Trigonometry
Hon Spanish 3
Drama 2/3
Improvisation and Comedy
Photography 2/3
Physical Education/Driver's Ed/Health

I am taking the AP Euro exam today, and I am confident that I will receive a 3, but I am aiming for a 4.
Over the summer I am taking a required Economics class and a Photography class at University of Virginia.

Junior year I am taking:

AP English
AP US History
AP Psychology
Photography Internship
Hon Math Analysis
Hon Calculus
Hon Spanish 4
Hon Physics
Drama 4
Improvisation and Comedy

Thank you so much for your help! I am really stressed out about college.

i mean sat and gpa are like almost half of your application soo without that it is kinda hard to say

That’s true, sorry.

Assume that by senior year I have 3.95 GPA and SAT 2130

Get your SAT up to at least the mid 2200s (if not 2300+), then your chances become golden as a double legacy.

yea 2200+ and a 3.95 with a double legacy should do it

Your chances absolutely don’t become “golden,” with those SAT and GPA.

Have a look at this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/princeton-university/1305032-official-princeton-university-2016-rd-results.html</a></p>

People were rejected with perfect scores, GPAs, and even their own corporations. You should ask Princeton-related questions in the Princeton forum, where alumni and current students will be willing to help you.

aacohen, fyi, you’re a legacy at PU based only on your parents, no other family members.

Calm yourself down.
You’re just a sophomore. The most important year has yet to come. I can’t chance you without your junior year statistics.

You can’t really put your “middle school accomplishments” on your college application.

I can’t really speak based on your Sophomore year stats, but overall you have a pretty strong resume. The double legacy helps a lot, but you might want a higher SAT than a 2130 to improve chances. I would also recommend removing middle school accomplishments from our resume, unless they are significant. If you keep your grades Junior year than you should be set.

Mind chancing back?
