Princeton Admissions Fall 2022

Yeah. February just started.

Son was contacted 2 days ago (Feb1) for the RD interview. Trying to set a day and time for this weekend. Los Angeles area.

is it only me from South Asia who didnā€™t receive an interview from alumni?

We did not
California

We havent. LA county

Hang in there. PU has a decent size alumni club in Southern Cal. Hopefully interviews pick up in the next week or so. Itā€™s hard bc many colleges swear that the alumni interviews are not factors and that itā€™s OK if you donā€™t get offered one but itā€™s impossible not to be a little concerned when others are getting contacted. There are pros and cons to these message boardsā€¦

Yes it is hard not to be concerned the app was already tossed on the reject pile. Thank you for the encouragement.

Son had an interview about 10 days back. We are in the Northeast.

Any interviews down in FL? I havenā€™t been contacted by any of the ivies I applied to. I live in a rich business/real estate focused area, but applied as a chemical engineering major.

Son got an interview from local alum and he said it went well. Indigenous, IB, Athletic, GPA Wt.4.3, Heavy in Sciences, summer programs, ECs and Volunteering. Fingers Crossed. Also interviewed for Tufts, Dartmouth, Georgetown.

Hey, all.
D22 applied for admission in EA. She was postponed/deferred to the regular admission cycle. They wanted to see first-quarter grades. She took a math (Multivariable Calculus) class at a big ten school and got an A- so she should be good if that was the only thing they wanted to see. All Aā€™s in high school courses too.
Did Princeton give a date when Regular Decision will come out? I read the beginning of April, but was somewhat hoping it would be sooner.

Also, wanted to ask if others had any thoughts on merit (since all students attending would have amazing merit), and financial aid? I heard it is decent, but not sure what decent means at this level.

Ivy Day is March 31

Like all the other Ivies and pretty much all the T20s, Princeton does not offer merit aid.

I assumed so much. I heard financial aid is better. ((crosses fingers))

Thanks for Ivy Day date. I havenā€™t followed it.

Typed in wrong thread. - deleted commentā€¦ apologies.

We are in LA also so maybe there is still a chance.

After the Rams, anything is possible

My daughter had hers in early January. We are in CA and the interviewer was in Tx.
I donā€™t think Princeton necessarily has the interviewer in the same time zone.
I think they just go out in bunches.
I read they pretty much interview everyone so hang in there!

Want to give credit where credit is due. My DC22 applied RD and submitted a music supplement. They had a question about the supplement and emailed the contact person listed on the website. Within 24 hours the person answered their question (a marked contrast to two top 15 schools who never responded). I canā€™t tell you how much this impressed us both, in addition to easing my kidā€™s mind as to their supplement. Hats off to Princeton music! :tophat:
