Princeton Admissions

Hello,
I was just wondering what my chances of getting into Princeton are and how I could possibly get in. To gives some background, I have fallen ill since 2014 and what I have is a chronic illness. Due to this illness, my grades lowered and as a result of a relapse, I have left school and I am pursuing a high school diploma online. Basically, I would like to know what I must do to eventually get into Princeton. Do I even have a chance?

No chance

The best way to tell if you have any chance at Princeton is to compare your stats with the current Freshman profile 2016. If you are within range, then take a look at the decision threads from last year to see what makes the accepted students standout. In general, all schools like Princeton have more very competitive/qualified applicants than spots, so there is no “magic” formula to get an acceptance.

What is my best option? Unfortunately my illness significantly affects my academic performance as cognitive functioning is affected negatively. What can Princeton offer to severely mentally ill people or am I aiming too high? Am I able to get into Princeton as a graduate student instead? I only missed about two years worth of high school because of hospitalisation however whenever I returned to school during that period, I still performed well. I function well now, but before I was ill, I was in the top five of my freshman year in high school. It’s just because of this illness I didn’t have a chance to prove myself. How should I go about this?

Princeton is a crapshoot for even the most qualified applicants, so unless you post your stats, EC’s etc… It is impossible to give you any kind of guidance.

If Princeton is your goal, then trying for graduate school seems more realistic at this point.
