Question:
Is Princeton ED a possibility? She fears the Reject letter. She is currently enrolled for Nov SAT I (3rd time) to improve her verbal. Also plans 2 SAT II in Dec. She feels these extra grades will strengthen her academic consideration. After reading many posts, the acceptance rate for ED is slightly higher than the RD rate. As her father, I only wish for her to be happy (acceptance into any top tier will make her happy), so I question - why not Princeton ED if her stats are good enough? We are wondering if she is teetering on the accept/reject fence and would a slight score increase improve her chances? What if she slips from #1 to #2 on her mid year report, will it affect her chances?
I am also planning a meeting with her school counselor (and the other counselors) to help steer us in the right direction.
Any feedback, thoughts, opinions, and criticism are welcome and appreciated.
Thanks,
A confused, but concerned father,

her top 3 SAT IIs are fine, her SAT I is fine...i dont think any retakes are necessary to tell you the truth...however, ECs/leadership will be important..."boatload" doesnt tell much...i dont think she has much to worry about, im sure she'll get into somewhere great...if princeton really is her #1, she should definitely go ED...i dont know why she would want to do EA yale when her top choice is clearly princeton...
