<p>^^I don't know about that. I think that you could <em>probably</em> do that for 10-30% of the pool, tops. But I really believe that the majority of kids who applied were not <em>wrong</em> to apply--they just didn't get in. </p>
<p>I know that you were just joking, but the admissions rate won't continue to go down to .000000001%. At a certain point, people start to give up. Will it ever get back up even to 20%? I don't know. But Yale saw a decent sized decrease in their applicant pool this year, and I can only imagine that Princeton, Harvard and the like will experience similar plateaus/decreases.</p>
