Princeton African-Americans

Hey Princeton 2014's! :)

I'm new to CC, so let's get to know one another!

1) Where are you from/ What type of high school did you attend?

2) What do you plan to study at Princeton?

3) What is something interesting about you?

4) What social groups do you fit into/ What do you like to do?

5) Why did you choose Princeton?

Or you can just talk about whatever you want :D

While I shall not be matriculating at Princeton, I do think that the best way to get to know your classmates is through less anonymous media, like Facebook. I also believe Princeton has a personal blog on its website and various chatrooms available you can use to network.

But enjoy that amazing food for 4 years. Perhaps we shall run into each other (as rivals, of course) during a football game.

originally from gary, indiana. live in arizona now. public high school.
English. Wanna be a public relations specialist/publicist.
I love to tweet on Twitter…
I love to meet all kinds of people. I’m a social butterfly I guess. I don’t wanna box myself into any category.
I love the school, the environment, etc. The fact that my close pals are going only makes it better.
I answered that a bit quickly.

Hi there!

1) I am from South Jersey and I attended a public high school.
2) I plan to study either English or Comparative Literature with a certificate in Creative Writing.
3)Hmmm something interesting? I like anime and bollywood music and movies!
4)I fit into the “other” social group lol. I have friends from many different backgronds and archetypes. I love to watch movies, go on facebook, read poetry, and write.
5)I chose Princeton for its boundless opportunities, close-knit community, arts culture, and people!

Can’t wait to see you all! Look me up on facebook and add me!

Great school but I hate the grade inflatation so I’m not applying.

^That’s a bad reason not to apply. If anything, Princeton has grade deflation compared to its peers.

Lol, assuming you’re referring to other Ivy League schools as it’s “peers”, that’s why I’m not applying to them either!

Still, I’ve never heard of anyone not applying to a school because it has grade inflation. Most colleges in the have seen steady increases in average GPA over the past couple of decades anyway.

hahhaa why is grade inflation a problem?

elbeeen: Hmmm…Princeton actually doesn’t have grade inflation. The school actually practices grade deflation, although I’ve heard that it mainly affects students who are studying the sciences.

It’s nice to meet you MorganSimone and BeautifulNerd219! Are you two as excited for the school year as I am?

ksarmand–Yup, maybe we will bump into one another at a football game lol. Harvard is a umm…nice place I suppose :)

MorganSimone–We seem pretty similar. I plan on studying politics/international relations. However, I’m really excited about the creative writing program.
I guess an interesting thing about me is that like anime (not very original) and that I love to draw (I sketch and do a lot of digital painting). I’m a pretty outgoing person and have friends all over the place. I chose Princeton because of the academic program and because I fell in love with the school at first sight :D
