Top 2000 Ranked Universities for Highest Overall School Score

lol what. cornell 4th, harvard 23, and how the hell is 85. Denison University higher than UC Berkeley which is 101 and not on the first page… Where the heck is denison U anyways…???

I vote most garbage list ever.

I’m pretty sure I read that even the Stanford people find this list to be worthless…

The list is worthless… that’s All I’m going to say.

The rankings are totally weird, but some of the college descriptions are very informative, so I think the site is useful.

Say what you wish but I think this ranking list is as good as it gets. I spent several hours looking into their methodology and I believe it results in a better ranking than US News. Sure there will always be a school or two that could move a few spots here or there but this is a valid ranking of universities that should be considered by anyone that is into rankings.

these rankings are a laugh

cute ranking. im not going to comment on how useful it is but rankings aren’t necessarily meant to pander to whatever preconceived notions you have about a college’s relative standing. the fact that yale or berkeley don’t place well isn’t really enough to discredit a ranking. that being said…at least the top 3 look good?

Okay, if you can sleep at night knowing that you believe DePauw and Santa Clara deserve more praise than UPenn…

JHU > Harvard, Yale, Penn?

Don’t know about the rankings, but if you click on a couple of the school links, the content written about a couple of the schools I checked is directly out of the c.o.l.l.e.g.e.p.r.o.w.l.e.r books, so I suspect the link provided is a commercial site. As such, its content may be driven by forces beyond objective analysis.

Just sayin’…

Oh, and by the way. “Top 2000” is hilarious.

“Mom, Dad… I have decided to apply to the schools that rank between #1847 and #1853 on this list.”

Huh?

I’ll second the vote

Actually, the criteria behind the rankings appears quite credible and somewhat different from what we’ve seen before. What’s interesting is that despite the difference in criteria, the top 3 in the ranking mirror the College Confidential Academic Ratings/Rankings (where only Princeton, Stanford and MIT receive the highest academic rank). See below:

This list is outdated. On their Princeton biography, they listed Princeton as having two decision programs: early decision and regular decision. We all know that Princeton did away with early decision at least two years ago.

Princeton implemented its new admission policy less than 2 years ago.
