So my grades pretty much suck, but what do you guys think are my chances? Especially at NYU; that's my dream school.

Please be completely honest; don't post answers like "You can do whatever you set your mind to." Also, if you post a reply, please don't just say something like "I think you have a shot." Give me REASONS you think I have a shot; is it a reach? A match? What?

PLEASE reply, everyones opinion is valued.

Thanks! =)

STOP IT!!! My God!! Seriously, this is getting really frustrating, if you want someone to chance you, make ONE thread, then WAIT!! You've made like 6, and you've already gotten a few dozen responses, how many more do you need? There are dozens of other kids who need advice and you're just crowding them out for one more response to a question that's already been answered multiple times.

PLEASE delete your other threads, and wait for people to respond to one, you've already been chanced more than most people.

i think u can get into howard
not sure about NYU
your URM status is definately a big boost and the fact that ur father died might make admissions officers slightly more lenient on grades

I haven't gotten a dozen responses, more like 5 ..and they weren't all that good. I don't have "like 6" threads, I have 4; I've only bumped 2 of them. Therefore, the only ones you've probably seen today are this one, and the other. Seriously, stop exaggerating.

Thanks for the "help" though; do you seriously think answers like THIS are going to make me stop posting? You claim you've seen my other posts, why didn't you reply?

Go to hell.

Thanks, Christian1206! =)

Amazing upward trend, great ACT score, URM: I think you have a reasonable chance at NYU.

actually i think NYU is definately a possibility
once again your URM status is a great boost
ur ACT score(33) is great
maybe in your college essay you can write how ur father's death impacted your life and obviously your grades, and how you managed to recover from that dreadful ordeal. i mean your grades definately improved.

"Baby turn around and let me see that sexy body go .." BumpBumpBump!!!

Let me tell you that your URM, hardships you overcame, ACT scores, and upward grade trend are all in your favor. You have a decent shot at NYU. to boost your chances apply ED or EA. good luck! chance me in return?

o btw doesn't NYU require SAT II's?

Thanks! I'm not sure, but I'll see ;]

BUMPbump

BumpBumpBump

Come on, people ..I need relpies!

LOL....now that's what I call "strong upward trend in grades"

Haha! Thanks! What are my chances, though?

Some may say NYU is a bit of a reach...but you have good chances for Howard & Hampton, based off of what I know about both and my friends that attend both places

Thanks, Algandars!

tocollege:

About half of those were made a LONG time ago. RECENTLY, I've only made about 3 or 4, and I've only bumped 2. Get a life.

how do u have ur senior grades already? shouldnt u be in somewhere then? or r u predicting thats what ull get in ur senior year? cuz then the overall GPA would drop significantly. i kinda feel like ur trolling but in the other hand u may not so idk about that. just that u getting ur senior grades make u suspicious cuz most people i know tell me what theyre grades where before senior year along with theyre classes theyre taking during their senior year.
