Princeton and Time Zones

Hey, I was wondering if princeton takes into account the different time zones?

I am on central time and submitted at 11:20 PM, but the common app (EST time) shows 01/02/2013 .

Will I be considered late? Will they reject me automatically?

No and no. Good luck!

Are you sure Pancaked? Thank you for replying. So stressed out right now.

By the way, I’m in TN too !

Yes it is late (the deadline was EST) no it won’t count against you. What’s Princeton gonna do, send your app fee back because it was a couple minutes late? You’ll be fine. There’s not even anyone there sorting the apps yet, as far as I can tell the only reason schools make their deadline Jan. 1 is to force everyone to get their school forms in in time. Don’t worry about it.

Thank you @unicameral2013. I am so glad that college apps are over… this is soooo unhealthy x)

BTW shkaribu: this holds true for anything you turn in: it’s always set to the timezone of the recipient – whether it be your future credit card bill, grad school app, etc. It’s never your resident timezone. What’s the dude in New Zealand supposed to do?

@TL6E4 yeah this was a life lesson. Thank you
