Princeton Arts Supplement

Hi guys,

I submitted my Princeton application a couple of days ago and now it is time to submit the arts supplement. I feel as though I have a competitive portfolio of 10-12 photos; however, I feel that submitting 20 photos as Princeton seems to want would hurt the quality of my portfolio. In their words: Painting, drawing, photography and sculpture can be evaluated if submitted as 20 images formatted as jpegs no larger than 900 x 700 pixels at 100 dpi.

I believe that I am a strong applicant without the portfolio and only briefly mentioned my interest in photography in my application. Do you guys think that not submitting a portfolio after indicating that I would on the common app reflect negatively on my application as a whole? Thanks in advance for any feedback or suggestions.

All the best

IMO if you indicated your intention to submit one, it would be preferred to do so.

Cantiger, thanks for the feedback! I think I’ll go with 10 photos as it says elsewhere to submit up to 20.
