Princeton Chances Recovery?

<p>Is there any way to recover from these freshman grades?

Career Opportunities- A
Honors English 1- B B

Honors Geometry- B B

Honors Modern American History- A A
Health- A
Fit For Life- A
3.56 GPA overall... Hoping this won't kill my chances.<br>
I'm doing better this year with all A's, all honors classes, French 2, and chemistry. IB classes will be taken for the next two years so I can get the IB diploma.
ACT- Taken at the beginning of my sophmore year. I'm taking it again in December and I'm hopefully looking at a 30+

Mission trip to New Orleans
50+ hours volunteering, soup kitchens, picking up trash
Work on the weekends, all week in the summer'
Tennis 4 years, Varsity 3 years (hopefully)
Varsity Debate 4 years (possibly going to state)</p>

<p>I’m not super experienced, but I’ve read a lot on CC to give you some advice.</p>

<p>Your grades aren’t too poor. I can’t really judge them since you only gave letter values; they aren’t as accurate as point values, but what’s important is that you can’t change these grades now since they’re part of the past. </p>

<p>However, you can change your grades for your sophomore, junior and senior year. Good grades freshmen year can help you, but bad ones won’t hurt you too much, since junior and senior year grades are much more important. A lot of colleges understand that freshmen year is a transition. You’re just getting used to things. </p>

<p>Nothing can really “kill” your chances. Just keep working at it, and good luck!</p>
