However, you’ve gotten consistently the same advice from numerous posters – some of whom have lots of experience with college admissions. </p>

<p>Take this advice seriously. What you don’t want is to be one of those local high school stars, whom everyone holds in high regard, but really is lost in the larger scheme of things (i.e. the competitive college admissions pool). Top 20 schools are out of your reach. You have a relatively mediocre GPA with a mediocre course load. 27ACT is fine but not for the types of schools you’re considering. Good luck w/your college search.</p>
<p>BTW:I’m not a HS student but an alum of a Princeton peer school so I have no reason to subordinate you.</p>
