Thank you in advance!

Strong in many areas, however your ACT is hurting you on two fronts. On the lower percentile for Princeton, and lower as to your specific demographic group (Asian female), which you will ultimately be also judged against. A score in the 33-34 range would assist your cause.

I do agree that my scores are low for the types of schools I hope to go to, and I am trying to increase them. I appreciate your feedback! :-*

The other suggestion I have (and speaking by way as a parent of a D at Y, and formerly having an academic fellowship there as well) is I urge you to really have a nuanced appreciation of the schools. That is to say, figure out a way to say why you belong there (and certainly not by way of grades and scores as that is a given for everyone) and how you might contribute to the university community. Too often, many students make the mistake of articulating what the school would do for them, rather than making a lucid presentation of what you might uniquely offer. Also, having some deliberation on how you might use the degree for the greater good, and the responsibility you have with such a degree always resonates with admission folks. Best–

Thank you for your advice. I am leaning towards a major/career related to social entrepreneurism, so I will be sure to show how I will use my degree in my essays.
