Princeton Class or 2021 EA / RD Application thread

Furthermore, please reconsider why you need others to evaluate your chances when you yourself claim your essays are a 15/10. Seek compliments elsewhere.

There are also separate threads for chancing. Please visit those. Your questions and concerns will be received more openly, as you would be posting to the appropriate thread.

@zaxm12 I dont know if you’ve noticed but you’re not the only one who feels bad. I am not “seeking compliments” I was stating genuine concern. Spend long enough on this website and you’ll soon come to know being in the 99th percentiles for tests means near to nothing when applying to the ivies. From what I’ve read, ECs are a huge factor, a factor that I’m weak in.

@juniorivy I was not asking for chances, I was posting my stats to see if there’s anyone else here in the same position. Believe me an ivy league forum is the last place to brag about marks, since almost everyone here has mine or better.

@JAHSS2 I am only here because I applied SCEA. That being said, I may speak only for myself:

I’m not sure if you know this but CC has a reputation among other circles of being an elitist haven for people to brag about themselves. I encourage you to look at urban dictionary’s definition of CC if you don’t believe me. You are perpetuating that. You simply were being disingenuous when you asked for your chances when your subsequent posts show that you understand that your 35 ACT and 15/10 essays are very competitive but not a slam dunk.

As for bashing you, I think you need a dose of reality. In hindsight, however, I should have ignored your post. I don’t want this thread (which I’ve been lurking on since I submitted my own app and which has been thus far peaceful) to become venomous. So, good luck to you. For your sake and for the sake of your self-adulation I hope you get in.

Ok everyone, let’s try to get back to the real issue here! 25 DAYS UNTIL EARLY ACTION DECISIONS. Let’s all just settle down a bit because everyone’s stress levels are a bit high due to senior year and college applications! Let’s look on the more positive side of things and whether or not we get in, we will have to make the most out of whichever college we attend! Even if we go to an in-state, if we work hard enough and take advantage of every opportunity presented to us, we will succeed to our fullest potential and reach goals unimaginable! Good luck to everyone and I hope we all get into our desired colleges!:slight_smile:

@zaxm12 “self-adulation.” Please stop with all this subtle nonsense. Anyways, as to not divert this thread off-topic, good luck to you and everyone else applying!

@IvyKid1 My son submitted an arts supplement for music composition. He did submit a resume but not a music composition recommendation letter.

Does anyone know an exact date for decisions?

Probably Dec. 15, or maybe Dec. 16

Hey guys, just had my interview so thought I’d let you guys know how it was
It lasted for a little under an hour, and was absolutely fantsastic. It was very informal and fun. I’ve had an MIT interview before this which was very different from the Princeton one. A lot of this interview was me asking her about her experience at Princeton. She said that the interview holds very little substance in the application (less than 1%) and sometimes they don’t even read the reports they send, which is unfortunate since it went so well :frowning:
It was mostly about my interests and what I like doing.
Advice: do some research on research programs, professors, clubs,and certificate programs.

@sunrisereader Judging from last year, I’d think it would be Friday, December 16th in the evening.

@VenomBuds @student709 Thanks!

Has anyone else not been contacted by their interviewer yet? I got the email from Pton a few days after I submitted giving me the name and email of the interviewer. It said that he would contact me to schedule it.

I’m not really worried (If I was I might have emailed him) b/c of how little the interview matters. I was just wondering if anyone else is in this boat. I had heard they are to send the interview reports by Dec. 1.

It took about two weeks after I got the email with the contact info for my interviewer to reach out to me. @zaxm12

agahahah omg i’m counting down the days until decisions come out!! The stress dreams have started! whoop whoop!

Anyone else just over-the-top nervous-excited?

@MCurie I’m over-the-top nervous-excited to apply RD! Don’t think that counts though

So, Harvard decisions apparently come out on the 13th. Does that mean the same for Princeton? Don’t Ivies usually coordinate these things?

Ivies only coordinate decision during the RD round.
