Hey guys,
Lol, I wish! XD I didn’t submit a pfaa or wateves sooner and they’re asking me to file one ASAP. But like IvyKid1 said, I’m sure it’s just paperwork stuff.

I think as Princeton states they are two separated processes, the financial aid email doesn’t relate to the admission process. Two weeks to go
I got this email as well, and at first I was hoping that it was some minor indication of my application at least being in the somewhat favorable category, but it seems now like it doesn’t mean much of anything. Though there has been a very strong correlation between receiving this email and gaining acceptance in the past, I don’t believe that there is any actual causation behind it.
just got offered an interview for RD! super excited
FA email means you’re admitted…they only pass admitted applicants to the FA office…such was the case in previous years
P.S: I may be wrong
It would be pretty exciting if them pursuing individuals that didn’t finish their apps indicated Princeton’s interest in you, meaning you are either accepted or deffered. As much as I’d love to think so, I’m pretty sure the FA email is not hinting at acceptance. All it said was you indicated you wanted to apply for financial aid and didn’t finish the app. Do so ASAP. If you never signed up for the pfaa, you wouldn’t have received this E-mail. I think they are just being cordial by sending out an email out to everyone that didn’t finish. Don’t over analyze anything, but hope for the best!
What was the email about?
I got one too. Mine indicated that I had not yet submitted my PFAA, which was due Nov 1, and that I could still submit without penalty. However, I submitted everything else on October 29th, so it took them quite a long time to let me know about this missing. I was thinking that perhaps-- unlikely, but maybe-- financial aid packages are only calculated for accepted students. I have a separate thread on this, so if you have opinions please add them
To that thread!!
Princeton posted this on their facebook page today:
“[Lee] steps into this leadership role as we begin our deliberations to choose the first members of the Class of 2021, and she brings a dedication to diversity, access and inclusion.” - Dean of Admission Janet Lavin Rapelye

Where did you get this information from? I know you said “P.S: I may be wrong” but that doesn’t give you the right to spread misinformation/speculation.
Is there a 2021 scea results thread yet?
@princetonian254 If you go back to last year’s SCEA thread, you will see reports of FA letters going out to kids who were rejected or wait-listed. Unless it changed this year, the FA letter doesn’t indicate anything.
Has anyone heard what day decisions come out?
@Testingearly Nope, all of the ivies have released their dates besides Pton & UPenn
Has anybody tried calling the Admissions office for the date?
Well, on Dec. 1, Jessica Lee was named the new director of admissions. I’m assuming this change may prolong the decisions so they can go through everyone again. We probably will find out either next week or the week after that. I remember hearing mid-december.
I don’t think Jessica Lee’s new director role would affect the admission process, as she already is a key role in the process.
In case the decision date is the 12th, only a week is left. Good luck ladies and gents!
I can’t tell if this was meant to be a joke, but you are definitely wrong.
Will we get an email of when the early action admission date is or do we just wait to see when they announce it online?
