<p>they don’t really do much to the laptops, other than configure them to run on the network (which you would have to do anyway), register the mac addresses (which you would also do) and to install the printers. They also give you a princeton screensaver and set princeton.edu to your home page. That is obviously very easily fixed. The only issue would be if you wanted to run linux or something, in which case its unlikely you would buy your computer that way, and you would probably want to also have windows/macosx.</p>

<p>Yea, if you get any outside scholarships and you’re on FA, you have to report them and then your grant is reduced. You can use that money, though, towards a laptop from SCI.</p>
