Princeton came out that the school received 3,547 early action applicants. Out of this, how many do you guys think will be accepted? deferred? rejected?

I want to say ~500 get accepted, ~1000 deferred, and the rest rejected.

There is no way of knowing this since their former program was ED so you can’t even extrapolate from that to the SCEA. Given that Yale has had an SCEA admit rate of about 14% recently, it is not likely to be much beyond the high teens. The bigger question is will they follow Yale’s pattern of deferring half the SCEA applicants to April or reject much larger numbers upfront as Stanford does.

don’t worry Zaza…with your stats you should be fine! :)

haha I guess I should mention that was just a random guess XP

And 14% of that is 496, so if you want to use Yale’s, it is a lot higher than high teens.

Good Luck!..and don’t stress too much about all this stuff. It’s gone out already, and you will get in somewhere good :D

Yale received 4,310 and said it will accept 650-750…that’s higher than the 14% the acceptance rate has been floating around, more around 15-17%…wondering if that will be the case for Princeton as well…
