Princeton ED Acceptance Letters

with the two letters in 36 font screaming...

NO!

shudders

since, my mailbox has a quite big slit and there is no back side ( it is pretty much like a really small tunel between the hallway and the mailroom, so the mailroom guys can put stuff in it from the back easily), I can just tell if it is an acceptance letter or rej/def letter by judging the brightness of my mailbox. If it is dark, and i cant see the light from the mailroom through my mailbox, then it is the big, fat acceptance letter. if i can see a lot of light, then it's mostly empty or barely occupied...

I think the most cruel thing they could do is to pull an anti-Stanford. Stanford puts "Congratualtions!" right on their envelope, I believe. It'd suck to see a "Ouch...!" on the envelope when you get your mail. Worse yet would be to see a laughing mail man as he drops the letter into the mailbox.

But I have faith that Pton adcoms are not, in fact, cruel and sadistic people.

A laughing mailman...

letter from last year

I wonder how the acceptance letters would look online...

unfortunately rich, Pton is all mail :(

Matt's letter is an RD letter from last year. The ED letter doesn't invite you to a spring courting weekend (they don't have to for EDs). Also, the ED letter has a hand written Congratulations.

Is there a copy of an ED acceptance letter within the last two years online

i dont think being greek is considered an underrepresented minority....

GrkPton: Relax...This board lights up when the ED letter is sent. You will get excruciating detail. If your nervous energy is driving you up a wall, check last year's board where the letter was quoted.

How come Princeton does not have a hellenic or greek or cyprian multicultural club and yet they have a turkish one? Is that not underrepresented?

dude, being greek or cyprian is not considered a high priority urm...you're in the same boat as regular whities like the rest of us...

when people talk about being an underrepresented minority, the hook as a urm comes from being black, hispanic, or native american...if greeks had an edge like the valued urms, dont you think they'd have their own little box to check off?

Well I am not white, Cyprus is in the Middle East, I put myself down as Mediterranean (as other). You ought to see my Cyprian uncles, tell me if they are caucasian

fair enough, but you could look at all the applicants from middle eastern or mediterranean (barring north african descent) backgrounds and see that they have no greater an edge than white people...

Yeh, Semitics are in the same boat as Caucasians... I mean there are some really dark Italians and Spanish people... but that doesn't give them a leg up. I wish it did, because I'm a Hungarian and we are not of Europe either, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way... what a cruel world...

Agin Grk...relax. I believe Pton has 250 student organizations. If they don't have exactly what you are looking for, start it up. Very diverse campus so I am sure all groups are represented. Why don't you show some initiative and search the web site for Greeek activities?

Hey I thought this thread was about ED acceptance letters. 10 - 12 more days left!

If i get in, Princeton will have a hellenic multicultural group when i'm done
