Princeton ED Financial Aid Question

Hi everyone,

if you're accepted ED to Princeton, you're obliged to attend. But what if the Financial Aid Offer forced your family to cut down all other expenses to a minimum and it weren't acceptable for your parents?

I'd place my family in the middle-class, our income is quite high, but so are our expenses (lots of insurances etc.), call it almost equally balanced.

Is there no way out once you put your signature underneath the ED contract, regardless of the outcome in terms of Financial Aid?

Thank you for your time & answers.

Frankly you need to find a way of getting across to princeton that you many expenses. The people who are working in financial aid are human and undertsanding. Make your case to them, back it up with officiaL documents, and they should lsiten. That being said, once you appl and get in ed, yo uare locked in, and whatevegr the financial aid commission decides holds. What I'm trying to say is, Princeton isn't looknig ot make life tough for you. I actually found them quite generous.

If you cannot afford the cost even with financial aid, you are permitted to break the ED contract and attend college elsewhere.
