So, I submitted an application in December (I felt like Why Not? Princeton's Great) but didn't get to the supplement before Jan. 1. Yesterday, I received an email that stated "you haven't submitted your supplement" but can still apply. Do they simply want my money or do I still stand a chance after submitting a late application? I don't have any hooks or tips or any other pointy objects. I'm just your typical smart, do-gooder kid (although I am passionate about things I'm involved with). Is it worth spending the money or should I save my cash to pay for a school I actually stand a chance at?

bump..........

apply if you want to. we can't read the adcoms' minds, nor can we predict the future, any better than you can.

They're giving you a chance... it doesn't mean anything.
They probably thought you forgot to send it or some complete error, and that you would freak out because of this

They send a computer generated message reminding people who were interested enough to submit a commonapp to apply.

Possibly just from desperation for more applicants.
