So I know that there have been tons of people trying to figure out if indicating an interest in engineering helps one's chances of getting into Princeton but I have a somewhat different dilemma.
Of the majors offered at Princeton I am most interested in B.S.E. ones but I think my application shows that I am slightly better in Humanities rather than hard science, and as such I am worried that applying for engineering will actually hurt my chances. This difference isn't huge in my opinion (the difference is between A+'s vs. A's on my transcript and about a 40 point difference between my reading and math SAT scores, my SAT IIs are fairly equal, and I have no math or science ECs) but I would like to hear some advice on this since I am not entirely clear on what the differences are in the admission process for B.S.E. and A.B applicants.
Thank you
