omg y’all… this wait. i’m reallllly crossing my fingers for Friday but without an email yet confirming the date, i’m thinking it’s going to be next week. any updates on anything for anyone? lol
I just solved a problem I was stuck on for 3 days! I’m super overjoyed. You probably meant updates on Princeton though
@sproutedchiapet Based off of the last year I’m guessing it’d be around Mon., May 6th…but that’s an approximation
@ireadtoomuch thank you!
@IndirectProofs lmao, you are correct but i am also glad you solved it! that’s awesome. I recently watched “the code” on netflix… have you seen it? it almost appears sensational/supernatural but it’s actually an amazing bbc math documentary hosted by Marcus du Sautoy.
@sproutedchiapet Thank you for the excitement. I am super excited about it because it is from a European journal and I will submit my solution to be considered for publication. I have not seen that on Netflix! Thanks for recommending it. I will check it out!
I received an email that said transfer decisions would be released on May 7th.
Same! Got that email this morning
Yay! We have a date!
One of my other decisions is tomorrow I’m scared

I’m applied to Boston University, NYU CAS, Columbia GS, Yale Eli Whitney Students Program, and a few local schools.
I have been accepted to BU and rejected from Yale… fingers crossed over here for Princeton as it was my top choice.
I hurried up and took the ACT this year to submit my scores bc it seems important to some of the schools but not others… It did seem important to Princeton, BUT you’re about to have your associates which shows you can make high grades with college material across several classes… which i think is ultimately what those tests are for.
I don’t have SAT scores either
I am afraid that because I don’t have SAT scores I’ll be rejected
@sproutedchiapet thank you for your thoughts! I was thinking the same thing and I can only hope Princeton did as well.
@IndirectProofs I feel the same way … how many credits do you have at your current school ?
I can’t say. Believe me when I say that my stats are extremely unconventional
Ok. Best of Luck !!
Hi, everyone!
I didn’t apply this cycle but am thinking of applying next year. I see that some of you applied to the same schools I have in mind and many of you didn’t take the SAT or ACT. I’m just curious, what was your biggest consideration in deciding not to take these tests? Perhaps the timing was too rushed, no time for SAT or ACT prep, not the greatest test taker, the math part, the critical reading part, or anything else? I probably have the math knowledge (or at least memory) of a 7th grader even though I do really well in English, and I graduated HS over a decade ago. I know I still have a few months to prep for maybe a December test or even a February one but I feel like even with the best preparation I still won’t do that great. I know some schools only recommend and not require these, especially for non traditional applicants, but given my infinitesimal chance I feel I should give it a go…
Anyway, best of luck waiting to all of you CC posters and lurkers! Fingers crossed for the good news soon!
Oh, btw, any of you heard back from other schools and maybe want to share about the other decisions so far? Hoping that you’ve had some cool acceptances so the wait for Princeton (likely next week-ish?) wouldn’t be too bad!
Has anyone seen changes to their financial aid portal?
