There is no independent visual arts major, but you can study visual arts through the Art & Archeology department. The Art & Archeology department has three programs. Art history, Visual Arts, and Archeology. The Visual Arts program, Program 2, combines the study of studio visual arts with required courses in art history. There’s a lot of information online, so I would check the Art & Archeology department website and the Lewis Arts Center website. I’ve never really heard of anybody here doing fashion design, but check the websites, and email somebody from the Lewis Arts Center if you want to ask if you could incorporate it somehow.

What address should I use if I’m sending in some materials using a delivery service (UPS, etc)? The address on the Princeton site is a P.O. box.

HELP!!! is a minor typo (one “s” missing at the end of a word, doesn’t change the meaning) in the description of my summer activities a death sentence for my app?

I think the adcoms will come to your house and kill you now!
Haha no it’s not a big deal. It doesn’t HELP your application, but if you get rejected, its not because of that

The summer activities part isn’t even all that important, so no, a typo won’t kill you. Don’t stress, you’re fine.

I’m not sure about try outs for sports. Club sports have try outs, I’m pretty sure. You could always email the coach of the sport if you’re interested in walking on.

If you were a dude speaking to lots of prospective, wide-eyed students about Princeton, having studied (or studying) there, and they asked you, "Why Princeton? ".

But really. I love it here. The people are friendly and there are so many people that go against the grain of what is “sterotypically Princeton.” There are so many communities that make Princeton feel like home to me. There are also many resources here, and if you just reach out to administrators or professors, they’re so helpful and committed to helping students make the best of their time here. There are so many people here whose job is basically to make you sure are doing okay and to help you out with anything.

That’s pretty much what I would personally say, based on my own experience.

Also, I love the size of the student body. Big enough, but not too big. Campus is easy to navigate, and it doesn’t take much time to walk from one end to the other.

Again, what can I do to strenghten an app to princeton so that I can improve my chances?

For anyone who’s considering applying to Princeton or who is trying to get a feel for the school, I recommend that you browse the Princeton University Press Club’s blog, “The Ink,” at [The Ink](http://www.universitypressclub.com). It’s a really great resource if you’re trying to glean a more accurate sense of Princeton’s student vibe than you’d get from the school’s official website. As an Princeton undergraduate, I use the site a lot when I’m looking for funny and insightful commentary on campus goings-on.

Quick question: How much does the interview matter?

Because I just had mine this weekend, and it went well and everything but I felt like it was a bit short. It only lasted like almost an hour, and my interviewer was probably talking for at least 15 minutes out of that. Most of my other interviews have gone up to an hour and a half, and I talked for the most part. Now I’m scared that this one didn’t last as long because he didn’t feel like I had anything special in my application :S

Plus for the Princeton interview, we talked more about my life in general than my ECs… Is that a bad thing?

Interviews don’t matter that much, I wouldn’t stress about it. Each interviewer also has his own style/preference of going about things. Some like to talk more, some take it really seriously, some don’t.

hi all!
so, i googled the guy who’s gonna be interviewing me in a few days, and found out some interesting info about him…im wondering if it would be weired/creepy/stalker-ish if i brought it up during the interview?
