What if i say "Youse Guys" is that a better way to say You all? Actually, that would kind of be cool.;)

Haha okay another thing about the Princeton forum...have you ever noticed how off-topic we get? This started out being like a WE LOVE PRINCETON FORUM thread and now it's a discussion of the word "y'all." I did a chances thread a little while ago and it just turned into like me and ohmisszanna and like 1 other person going back and forth about ridiculous things.

It's silly, but I love it.

haha that would be weirder =P

What is the proper way to say it anyway?
You all doesn't sound very correct to me either.
Should it be "all of you?"

teehee that's true.
People who post chances threads here never get a straight answer.
One person answers and then we get off topic.

lol hahaha wat happened to the normal, "you guys"?

i agree about the y'all thing, pk. i always wonder if the person saying "y'all" is consciously trying to say y'all or if it just comes naturally. i'm in VA so it's different though. it's kind of in the middle, so a lot of people fake it in my opinion!

princeton <333333333333333333

i really hope we all get in!!!!

I love you guys! We all better get in

ok, if one of us doesn't get in, we all boycott P'ton.

agreed?

um suuure.
we'll be right behind you.=)

When I moved to the US in 2001 we stopped at a pizza place to get dinner on the way from the airport to our new house, and the pizza guy kept saying "you guys" in every sentence, like "Hey, you guys! So you guys are Swedish? Do you guys ski a lot?". We were jetlagged coming from Europe, and I'd never met an American before, and he was talking very quickly and smiled the entire time and was so overenthusiastic that we were completely overhelmed. So now the phrase "you guys" is a running joke at our house.

How's that for a totally random story?

OK can we all be really lame and promise that if we get in we'll have some kind of super-awkward Princeton CC gathering and like...just be like, "oh my god, PK? I have read all 10000000 of your comments on the Princeton forum, nice to meet you!"

I mean I don't know if that will actually happen but it would be kind of amusing.

haha i like the boycotting idea. whoever gets in has to send a letter to princeton saying "if the rest of the CCers don't get in, I'm not coming!!!!!!!!"

lol j07- if you read the princeton 2010 forum, they tried to have a CC meeting at least twice and failed. which is very depressing. but i have full faith in this year's CCers that they will have a fun CC party!!

YA definitely, we will have a CC party!

A little off topic from the possible pretentious "ya'll", the only time I've heard a Canadian say "eh?" was when I was at a restuarant by Niagra Falls. Our waitress repeated our order and then about five seconds later she said "eh?". I couldn't help but feel that she was humoring us poor American tourists. : )

But I have to agree with everyone else on this board. I love my Princeton ED family!

They actually say eh a lot. I met one canadian and he said it like every other sentence

lol kraor, watch only us two send in letters to P'ton and end up getting our offers rescinded :)

then we pound on the admission office door begging and saying that we were joking....hehe that would totally stink

This IS your cc party:).

Princeton. the Ivy for friendly and social smart kids...

Haha I can see Princeton admissions officers being like "Ohhhh no...not the CC kids again."

I seriously am considering listing CC as an extracurricular activity on the app to like...my safety school. I'll jsut say PRINCETON FORUM- CC- 12 HOURS A WEEK, 52 WEEKS A YEAR.
