ck out the mit forum... people post threads like "why you deserve to get in" and ruthlessly compare each others stats... its cut-throat competition out there in a line.

i'm applying to stanford, and i'm sure i'll wait until the last day to submit the app--not to wait for the princeton ed result though. it's just that i've been god damn idle since 11.01...

Hey guys...sorry I missed all the fun talking about our awesomeness...but yeah, we're awesome! This week is totally crazy for me so I might not be on CC as much (or at least, I'll try not to be on as much ;)) so if I don't talk to "y'all" (hehe) for a while, I still love you!!! Counting down the days...

I seem to be the only one who is waiting until the ED date before sending out my additional applications. Why would you want to waste all that money if you get accepted ED???? And then you have the hassle of withdrawing them all if you do. I hope everyone on CC gets accepted ED, it would be amazingly awesome if that happened!!! Good Luck EVERYONE.. :) :) :) :) :) :)

Because the Stanford application comes in two different parts.
The first part is the basic part with your address, name, etc
The second part is the part where you write your honors/ECs/essays
In order to view the second part, you need to submit the first part.
To submit the first part, you have to pay.
So that's why we all had to pay for Stanford.
They're tricky =)
I bet they did that on purpose....

I don't know, they probably do, but you probably can't save it.
Because I know the Princeton one you couldn't save once you wrote something on it.

yeah stanford definitely did that on purpose. it is SO annoying!!!
ach- i am not sending out apps until after dec 15 either. the only problem is that i have to get forms to my guidance counselor before the break, and preferably as early as possible.

Lol I came upon this thread a little late but one of the reasons I became interested in applying to Princeton in the first place was actually this forum, about two years ago. I noticed a sharp contrast between the other boards and the friendliness of the Princeton board, and, after looking more into Princeton and its programs, etc, I decided to go ED.

Hahaha pk, it's okay, you've already applied and OBVIOUSLY you're going to get in so it's fine!

Seriously though, the other Ivy League forums are either really depressing or really dull and blank. I was like switching back and forth reading Princeton's and Harvard's and Yale's and finally I was like that's it...I'm spending the majority of my (sort of wasted) time in Princeton from here on out.

Princeton has always been cohesive and close-knit. It's no wonder Princeton has a 61% alumni giving rate (#1 in giving). People tend to give back to things and places they love. There is fierce loyalty among the alumni and the alumni functions are always well attended. I hope you all get in!!

Hey I was reading page 1 of this thread and my post was supposed to be in response to all the nice things on page 1 about Princeton posters' cohesiveness. I somehow missed that we are on page 7. Hope this isn't disjointed.

So I had to renew this thread...
This forum is just like a safety bubble - everyone is so helpful and encouraging! I'm almost afraid to go "outside the family" now. :) :) :)
