Princeton Going Free?!

The Daily Princetonian - Besting Harvard and Yale, U. to go free

uhh? this was unexpected

Uh this is a joke lol.

uhh this is terrible...I didnt even apply to princeton because i hated it when i went there and now I got into yale early!

my life is over! haha just kidding but this is still sort of dissapointing

really? how do you know?

haha nevermind....its a joke

hahah. thats funny

Haha, that was great. Especially the last paragraph!!!

haha, got me.

I thought it was fo real... Princeton needs something like the Lampoon to discern humor.

the sad thing is i had to read through that like three times to finally catch the joke...i am a mess

Um the top of the newspaper said "The Gaily Printsanything." How could you not get it?

Actually, AdamJaz, we do have just such a humor magazine, and it's the second oldest in the country - The Princeton Tiger.

Moreover, I should point out that The Gaily Printsanything has its own history and traditions:
<a href="http://etcweb.princeton.edu/CampusWWW/Companion/princetonian.html%5B/url%5D">http://etcweb.princeton.edu/CampusWWW/Companion/princetonian.html</a></p>

" J. Tarlington "Muffy" Rothschild de Beers '10 said she will probably use the $40,000 on "shoes, pastel polos and lots of pretty, frilly things." Meathead McGruff '09 plans to spend his tuition money on "a crapton of beer." "

lol

I saw this a few days ago and at first glance thought it was real, although reading the text quickly showed otherwise.

It would be a surprise, but not out of the realm of possibility, for well-endowed schools like HYP to eliminate tuition. As fewer and fewer students actually pay much tuition, it would get easier to do. I'm sure the only thing that keeps them from doing so is the opportunity cost of waiving tuition for some truly wealthy families.
