Princeton Graded Written Paper

Hi everyone,

Does the Graded Written paper have to be an essay?

I have moved this year and I was not able to bring a lot of school papers with me, so I do not have my essays with comments. I do have graded response papers (not essays) from my AP US History class. (I don’t know if it matters, but I have a paper analyzing a story called “The War Prayer” with teacher comments).

I sent a question to Princeton but I do not know how soon they will get back to me.

Can someone please let me know if that is okay to submit? I’m really stuck. Thank you in advance to anyone who replies! Have a great day.

Edit: I have to submit my Princeton application before November 1 (assuming I become a Questbridge finalist)

New Edit: I did end up finding one essay!! But, my question still stands. Please let me know!

The Admissions website is pretty clear about what they accept: “You may send a paper, essay, research paper, or essay exam. We are interested in seeing expository writing only, not creative writing.” If it meets the requirements listed on the website (and fits in one of the four categories,) it’s fine to submit.

Hope that helps! Good luck with admissions!

Thank you!!!
