Hi! I took a look at the P&H applications and, for the first college, there's a separate sheet of paper where you would have to tell the admission committee what's your favorite book/word/website/quote/record etc. Now I have to say this is what I've been looking for for a while now in all the college applications: really telling them in a short and clear manner some of your favorite, most personal things (fav memento question also). I also saw in the Harvard application that you could make them a list of the books read in the last 12 months. For all of you who applied to one or both of the colleges (and who got in or not), what did you write? Do you think it had a good impact on the adcom? Did anybody asked further questions as to why did you enjoy that specific book/word etc? Here are the questions:D:
Your favorite book:
Your favorite website:
Your favorite source of inspiration:
Your favorite recording:
Your favorite line of mive(and the movie's title):
Your favorite movie:
Two adjectives your friends would use to describe you:
Your favorite keepsake or memento:
Your favorite word(this sems a bit complicated to me, as there are so many words to pick from):
What about your latest books read in the last year?
Thanks:D!

I think they just want to see you as a person...they're not going to judge you if you write "The DaVinci Code" for your favorite book instead of "Boetheus's Consolation on Philosophy" lollll. Of course, you might think twice before writing "Playing with Jenna Jameson" as your favorite movie...basically, be yourself, don't try too hard, but also show SOME discretion :-)

this is probably what i'm gonna put
