Princeton Interview!

Hey everyone!
I was contacted by the Princeton Office of Admission for an interview, yet they contacted me when I hadn’t even finished my application (they emailed me like Dec. 26 -27 and the only material missing was my Writing Supplement, and I am pretty sure that Princeton had already downloaded and received my scores and the rest of my materials). So my question is, are interviews random?
Btw, I am an International student

Interviews are offered on availability basis, although elite institutions such as Princeton, prefer to have every single applicant interviewed. As long as you submit your main CA, your applicant file is created, therefore making you eligible for an interview.

Good luck.

Interviews are not random. Unlike graduate schools, undergrad schools try to interview as many candidates as possible. Getting an interview does not mean you have a good chance or a bad chance.

Oh thanks

For interviews (alumni interviews), if there is an alumni who lives or works near your high school area, then you are eligible for an interview.

Incorrect. If this alumnus/ae is a VOLUNTEER interviewer, then you might get an interviewer. Many college alumni do NOT volunteer in this fashion.
