*Please, Please can you suggest other ways I can make my summer productive since this gives me a lot of time to spend on things I really like. Also, how important is it having a job? I really want a job, but its so hard to find jobs that tie in my interests in this area. Can you please suggest some, and whether or not you think a job is important. (I have for sale, working on creating various designs for tshirts, etc through CaféPress) Any other ideas for Social Activism?

Also, what are ways to get some national or local recognition. I do so much, but I fear none of this will really be conveyed to the admissions officers. It always seems like kids who get all these awards like National Science or Forensics, etc awards get in. Like I've done so much, but some of it has just been personal motivation, how will they ever really know?

I am a minority. (Indian) (I know it won’t make a difference since so many Asians apply.)

If you read this far, thank you so much. That is all I can say. =]

the only thing you haven't done, as far as i can see, is donated half your brain to save the hippo population in australia like i have- be jealous XD

haha, are you really working on a project for hippos in australia? that would be sweet.
if you're not, well you got me then. lol.

lol do hippos even live in australia? no, it was just amazing to see all ur stuff. and im so jealous :P

but my school is kinda like a big project school, and im starting a project raising stingrays which is nice

very cool! actually if you can play up even the smallest things that make you stand out, then you're potentially worth it in the eyes of a college. so hold on to that. i know a girl who got accepted to Princeton three years ago and she raised quails. random, but cool.

lol quails. yea i guess so. did she get in because of the quails or was that just something she did on her long list of accomplishments?

As an adult reader, I suggest that you reduce & refine your profile as it contains a lot of lines that become a bit monotonous due to its repetiveness. This is not a particularly strong resume since it lacks focused passion. It presents you as a "jack of all trades" & "master of none". I suspect that Princeton sees hundreds of these types of profiles each week during application season. You really need to distinguish yourself & your accomplishments in one or two areas. This is the prototypical "mile wide and an inch deep" profile. And I realize that my critique is somewhat harsh, but to leave it as is will not help your cause in my opinion.

no, honestly, thank you very much for your critique.
i really have two interests which i have focused on during high school, which is art and social activism. i mean i tried categorizing a bit in the "resume", but I don't think it came across to readers. i'm not applying to princeton because i have achieved a math award, or im in national honors society. not at all, because i know every kid who applies will have those strenghths. its more of just a record of what i have been able to accomplish. in addition to my class rigor and work ethic, more than anything i want my passion in art and social activism to come across. how i've utilized them, and even better how i've utilized them together. could you please give ideas of improving the list? in terms of making it more effective to a reader, and really giving an impression of "who" i am, rather than "what" i am?
