Princeton Laboratory Learning Program 2018

Hello everyone, I couldn’t find the thread for the Princeton lab program for this year so I started a new one. I applied last month and was wondering how selective the program is. Did anyone hear back yet? Also, for people who participated before, how did you think the program was? Thanks y’all!

Just heard back today; was accepted!

@mosescuh Congrats!!
Just curious, do you live in the Princeton region/in an area somewhat close by the University? I was thinking about maybe just giving it a shot and applying to this program next year, but I don’t live on the East Coast.

@mosescuh Nice! Did u get an email? And which opportunities did you apply for?

Do they send you emails if you are rejected?

I think you must be a resident of the tristate area in order to apply D: (I live in NJ). I also did get an email confirming acceptance.

Just curious—how does this program compare in college admissions to others such as GSET, Simons, GSS, RSI, etc?

@mosescuh I believe for college admission, RSI, GSS, and GSET should help a lot. Don’t know about Simons though.

How does Princeton LLP fare?

Also, did anyone else get in?

Haven’t heard back yet-when do people typically get accepted? Looks like most people in past years heard back at the end of March. @mosescuh which opportunity did you get accepted for?

@mosescuh Did they ask for an interview?

@mosescuh Can you please share What are your Stats in Highschool?

They didn’t ask for an interview. I got accepted into one of the EEB opportunities!

Did anyone else hear anything back yet?

Which is more prestigious—Princeton LLP or Simons? I’m trying to decide between the two.

I would say that they are both just as prestigious. I guess it depends on what u study in the program and what u do with the research in the long run.

@CoolRunner123 As far as this thread is concerned, I think only @mosescuh has heard back from them. One of my friends did hear back from a professor, and was asked to go in for an interview.

I haven’t gotten anything though. I assume that the applications go straight to the mentor in the field that you applied for, and they are the ones who contact you or inform the Program of their decision. So in that case, if you applied to a subject field with a proactive mentor, you may hear back earlier. I am not certain though.

Anybody hear back yet???

I dont think so @trailblazer101

My friend who applied after me to the MOL and one of the LSI projects got her rejection email yesterday. I applied to two CBE projects and I haven’t heard anything yet.
