Princeton Language requirement

One of the requirements for an A.B degree is proficiency in a foreign language.

I'm not a fan of learning languages, but I am fully proficient in Polish. Now, Polish is not one of the many languages offered at Princeton, but would the University by able to administer a proficiency test of some sort anyway? I would like to never open another language book for the rest of my life.

I'll call the school, just looking for some input on here first.

Based on the information they gave admitted students last year, I’m fairly certain the only languages in which Princeton offers placement tests are Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Russian, and Spanish. They’ll also except SAT/AP/IB scores for French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Latin and Spanish.

You should be able to take a test of some sort. Even if Princeton doesn’t offer the language you speak, they’ll let you get out of the language requirement. Definitely call them and try to set it up before / immediately after you get to campus freshman year.
