Anyone received one yet?

Do they even send them?

Sure, why not :p

i got one! =D

.......its cuz im special

damn. i want to be special too :(

Not a high draft choice, apparently, but you may be invited to training camp as a free agent.

Shrek2004 I thought you were admitted ED to Princeton. Why did you just now get a likely letter or did you mean you got one before you were admitted ED?

I think he was kidding. Shrek's funny like that ;)

oh that shrek...laugh track :D

laugh laugh. i wish i would receive one. if i don't, a regular letter of admissions in April will suffice I guess...

haha =D im just playing hehe

kinda ironic that the school that invented likely letters doesn't send them anymore

I just don't think princeton's efficient enough...

they also take the time to read a lot of essays...columbia only requires one essay, but i sent in five to princeton....add in two (sometimes three recs)...activities...and discussion- and you can see why they're so "inefficient"

damn the likely letter, everyone keeps talking about em! p-ton does send them, i got one, but the ONLY send them ED to athletes who got scholarship offers elsewhere (so that the athletes will commit to princeton instead of taking the scholarship at another school), ur not just gonna get one cause they feel like it. the coach has to request one for u. sorry if i sound cranky, its been a long day

your argument holds absolutely no water whatsoever. Just because you sent in five essays doesn't mean everybody else did, I only sent in three. In fact, two of those essays are only supposed to be 250 words... and one of them is supposed to be 500 words. Yale, which sends likely letters, has two essays of 500 words. That's about the same number of words as a Princeton app. Dartmouth, which also sends out likelies, doesn't require an extra essay, but they do have a peer recommendation that range anywhere from 250-500 words.

david - i do agree that not everyone sent in 5 essays but the hardest part about essays is figuring out the topic =). three topics compared to two, also, its not hard to write 500, its harder to compress your ideas and all you want to say into 250 words or less. i think pton's app whipped yales =D

You completely misunderstood my point. I'm not debating which application whips whose.

What I was trying to say is that it takes as much effort to read a Yale application s it does to read a Princeton application. Therefore, the fact that Princeton sends out less likely letters is not a reflection of "time consumption' but rather a concious decison by the members of the admission committee.

ah aite =P for some reason i thot u 2 were talkin about which app took longer or something =P ignore my comments hehe.

I received a likely letter for the class of 2010 on saturday!
