Princeton or Brown PLME?

I've just been accepted to both Princeton and Brown PLME 8 year guarantee.
Princeton has always been my dream school but I would love the PLME's learning experience and environment. I know that since Princeton has started grade deflation, some students have become pretty miserable. Premeds definitely have a difficult time standing out from the crowd and competing with students from other ivies. Should I take advantage of Brown's PLME? Should I choose the safe choice over prestige??

You’ll probably enjoy the guarantee of Brown’s medical school more than grade-grubbing at Princeton to get into a medical school. Congratulations.

My daughter has been accepted into Brown -PLME and will be attending. Princeton is a great school, but the opportunity to be on a pre-med track and have the freedom to take the courses that interest you without the stress of having to maintain a pre-med GPA at another great school, is too good to be true. To be Pre-med and to be able to really enjoy college is the beauty of the program. Good luck with your decision.

if you are certain you wanna go into medicine, then PLME is the obvious choice :)

If you joined Princeton, do you know what you’d major in?

The reason I ask is because if grade deflation’s your worry, most majors pre-med students are interested in (the sciences), the grade distributions haven’t changed much since there wasn’t inflation there to begin with.

Good luck!

Yeah… medicine = Brown PLME

you should look at the PLME as more than a safety net - you should look at it as an exceptional opportunity to spend your undergrad years pursuing your own unique passions instead of checking of medical pre-requisites.

however, if you are uncertain about medicine and/or are drawn to princeton for some specific reason it may be the better choice
