Princeton or Duke?

Hi, I am very interested in public policy and international affairs. I got into Princeton and Duke. sooo hard to choose between these two excellent universities! Or should I say, hard to choose between the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs , and the Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy.

Please help me with the decision-making! Thank you!

With 3 generations of Duke grads, including one in Public Policy, I usually would recommend Duke. Princeton, however, is one of a kind.

^That may or may not be a good thing. A lot of things about Princeton are love-hate: the area, the people, the academic/learning environment. Now, if the choice were between Duke and Yale, that would be much more simple :)

It's a personal thing. I detested the atmosphere of the Princeton's campus when I toured it back in the day. The attitude, the vibe...it just didn't do it for me. However, friends of mine love it. While I couldn't see myself ever going there, it's really just up to the individual. Visit both and pick the one where you could see yourself living.

Duke :D!!!

Agreed with lex. I get a lot of cold shouldering from people at Princeton when I'm there most of the time, but a couple times I've experienced something comparable to Southern hospitality.
