what are my chances? I'm paranoid

It's hard to say, all the schools you are applying to are unpredictable.
Of course, I think the one you have the greatest chance is UT Austin.
The URM status will be for your advantage, and you say you think you broke a 2100 so that's good.
So just go for whatever college you feel like.
You'll never know.

Good luck with that, I guess I'll see you in Galveston haha =)

ya...it's gonna be crazy because I'm gonna have to leave early for a UIL competition.

I know it's hard...but can you like say like my chances please:

middlebury
carleton
pomona
princeton
harvard
stanford
ut

hmmm assuming you get a 2100 on your SAT:

middlebury - 20-30%
carleton - 30-40%
pomona - 20-30%
princeton - 10-15%
harvard - 10-15%
stanford - 10-15%
UT Austin - 70-80%

Don't take my word for it.
I'm not reliable at all.

Harvard 15%
Princeton 20%
Stanford 20%
Middlebury 65%
Carleton 65%
Pomona 50%
Texas @ Austin 75%

Middlebury accepts the majority (over 50%) of URM applicants.

I'm applying to these places. I already made the teacher recommendation cover pages, so I can't alter the list. :D

Middlebury
Carleton
Harvard
UT
UMinnesota
A&M
Baylor

OP - I know a number of URMs who got accepted to the selective schools you mentioned with your stats, especially if you break 2100. All the schools on your list are worth a shot.

Um, wait a second. I think the OP has a "good" chance of getting into Harvard. I'm not generalizing, but from my observations at my school, a science-oriented minority student with an admittedly average SAT score but good GPA is like a spotted zebra. I heard the folks at Harvard like spotted zebras.

Go for it, sugar!

well I applied, so we'll see how it turns out :)

With my best combined scores (after yesterday), I think I'll have a 2150 for the SAT.

I'm doing a different science fair project (behavioral). I sent in 2 songs that our choir performed. I sent in a copy of the whole spelling list to showcase what we actually did. I think my essay turned out nice.

pls post the results in april

Any other opinions on my chances?

all the schools you listed are elite.

and hard to get in with your scores

unless you did something national in the past year, i wouldn't count on getting accepted

My final rank is 34/181

:)

I think my highest component SAT score is gonna be a 2150 (don't know if I included that or not).

Sent in this year's science fair abstract, along with 2 songs from my choir's winter performance

had my interview yesterday...went ok/good

I thinkk you should give it a shot, you never know!

I did give it a shot...now I'm waiting for the decision, and yall's opinions

I'm advancing to state again for science fair

heck ya me too :) it's gonna be off the hook

I got my new SAT scores, not much better

710M, 710W (10), 640CR...

chances?! I'm getting nervous! LMAO!
