Princeton or Yale?

Princeton has always been my top choice. But recently I started to get worried about my chance of admission more than ever. My school is a well known boarding school in Conneticut. It has sent many students to the top ivy schools, expecially Yale, which has admitted around 5 students every year from my school . But there have been quite few who were admitted to Princeton, and many of them were recruited athlets. Under this circumstance, I am wondering if my chance of getting into Princeton is smaller than that of getting into Yale, which is a lot more familiar with my school. Should I really give up Princeton, and give a shot at Yale instead? I am not saying Yale is bad, it's just that Princeton is my ultimate dream. Any comment? thoughts?

I have to make it clear the main reason for the small number of admitted studetns from my school to Princeton is because that there were just not many who applied there. The majority of the top students are interested in Yale, which is like the traditional outlet for them.

apply to both of them, get into both of them, and then figure it out

you go to hotchkiss, don't you.

But the thing is that I want to apply ED to Princeton, so I can't do both Princeton and Yale at the same time.

You keep answering your own question... you want to apply to Princeton ED... i see no reason to do otherwise. Don't play the numbers game; only bad things can come of it.

Princeton, hands down

Best fin aid program among all ivies.

Go tiggress

If a lot of people apply to Yale, then it is most likely worse for you statistically...it sounds like you really want to go to Princeon so go for it. If you get deferred, then apply to Yale.
