Princeton (Parents') Preview 4/10

My husband and I are taking our son over to Princeton Wednesday night (the 9th) so he will be there early on Thursday. I know there is a parents' reception Thursday early evening. What else is there for parents to do until Saturday morning? There is an art museum on the campus that I want to see. Other than that I am at a loss.

My husband is actually thinking of making the trip twice (going to work Friday coming back to pick us up Sat). I want to be available for our son but I know he will be busy with his own schedule.

Are any other parents going for the full 2+ days? If any parents are interested in meeting please let me know. If you have any suggestions re what to do in Princteon, please advise. (However, I cannot do fun shopping for the next 4 years:)

The preview days are mostly for students, and there is not a ton of interaction between the students and their parents. There a bunch of panel discussions and some departmental open houses scheduled. Other than that, what to do on the campus depends on your interests. There are several lectures scheduled for thursday and friday, there is an eXpressions dance show, there is the argonauts playing at mccarter, you can take a campus tour if you haven't yet, there are probably sporting events to go watch, you can sit in on some classes (there are plenty of adult auditors in many of the humanities classes, so you wouldn't be out of place). If you like history, George Washington's headquarters is in kingston (a couple miles from campus) and wandering around the princeton cemetary is fun for history buffs, if it's a nice day you can take a walk on the tow-paths behind campus
